ROGERS ARENA TOWERS
Professional Building Envelope Engineering Services
Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, the West and South towers include residential apartments and commercial office space. Features such as enclosed balconies and triple glazing were key elements in the design considerations to suit the towers’ proximity to Rogers Arena.

UBC AQUATIC CENTRE
Professional Building Envelope Engineering Services
State-of-the-art aquatics facility located in UBC’s Vancouver Campus serving both university athletics and neighbourhood leisure. Out-of-the-box thinking was paramount in finding practical and effective solutions to the intricate construction details to maintain the building’s dramatic appearance. Continuous exterior insulation and high performance glazing reduce thermal bridging and condensation potential in this natatorium environment.

AUDAIN ART MUSEUM
Professional Building Envelope Engineering Services
This building featured highly controlled exhibit conditions surrounded by steel and wood frame composite structure. The standing seam metal cladding lends itself well to local architecture and weather considerations, while also providing a robust and durable building enclosure. The building envelope design significantly exceeded code requirements and featured triple glazing.

SUNDIAL PLACE
High Performance Building Envelope Renewal Project
This mid-rise residential building located in Vancouver’s West End is a complete building envelope renewal, designed and overseen by SEE. The strata’s desire to reduce the building’s heating and cooling needs presented an opportunity to develop a high performance design which will exceed code requirements. Further demonstrating their motivation to be community leaders, SEE has been granted permission to track whole building energy performance before and after as part of an in-house case study.

EMERALD MANOR
Building Envelope Renewal Project
Originally clad with face-sealed stucco and brick, this four-storey strata-titled building underwent a complete renewal of the exterior cladding and balcony membranes. A phased program was established to address the most vulnerable building elevations while optimizing the client’s fund management.

CITY GATE I
Building Envelope Maintenance Program
SEE assisted the strata of this 30-storey residential tower with design, quality assurance field reviews, and contract management of a building envelope maintenance program. The renewal work included exterior wall coatings, sealants, repainting metal roofs, flashings and window frames, concrete repairs, and flashing repairs.
